My
name is Disciple X. As a kid I grew up feeling left-out and detached.
I was never a part of the cliques at school. Sometimes I was bullied
for no reason at all. I was even accused of being adopted by mean
classmates because my Dad is white, and my Mother is black. When I did
make friends, Military orders or a change in jobs would force my
parents to move. Lyrics and Beats became my only refuge. At the age of
11, I wrote my first rap verse and never looked back. I also began to
develop my ability to freestyle. I wanted to see how many minutes I
could rhyme off the top without screwing it up... I had finally found
one of the key reasons I was born. Starting off I was always told that
I didn't articulate like a rapper. My audible voice sounded just like
my Dad. “You sound White...!”, they would say. There was nothing I
could do about it so I decided to just use the voice God gave me
regardless of what anyone thought.
I eventually formed a
group called “Tsunami” with my big brother Apostle, and my cousin
Codak. We put out a project called “The Best of Me”, but later we
disbanded. At first I didn't understand why our group couldn't
continue together. It became a source of great pain for me, but it
actually made me the Emcee that I am today. I released a project
called “Destroy You” which featured the torment I felt as a result of
going Solo. Since then I released my latest project called “Rise of
The Prophet” which is currently available on I-tunes. Please enjoy my
music, and this website which was created just for you. Get in touch
with me as I would like to hear from all of my fans.
